Unser 'Serra' ist ein unglaublich wachsamer und treuer Begleiter. Fremden gegenüber zeigt er sich rassetypisch erst einmal sehr zurückhaltend und reserviert, taut aber auf, sobald er merkt, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Er ist extrem flink, wendig und liebt Beschäftigungen wie Agility oder Fährtensuche. Sein Fell hat die typische Ziegenhaar-Struktur und besitzt keine Unterwolle, was die Pflege eigentlich recht dankbar macht, auch wenn er wie ein kleiner 'Flokati' aussieht.
Eine der größten Herausforderungen bei uns ist seine Sensibilität gepaart mit seinem Hüte- und Schutzinstinkt. Er reagiert sehr fein auf Stimmungen. Man benötigt im Alltag eine sehr konsequente Führung und eine frühzeitige, gründliche Sozialisierung. Wenn man hier schlampt oder zu grob agiert, kann sich sein starker Charakter und sein Schutztrieb zu einer echten Herausforderung entwickeln.
